2024 National Exceptional Events Workshop

The workshop will start at 8am on February 27 and will conclude at 12pm February 29.  The location of the meeting is at The 103 Drury Plaza Hotel St Louis at the Arch, 2 South 4th Street, St Louis MO 63102.

Please book your room online on this link or you can also make reservations by calling 800-325-0720 and refer to group number 10079602 Our group rate is $139 plus 16.929% tax per room per night and includes February 26-28, 2024.  Please book as soon as you can before we run out or by 2/5/24.  All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card.  Free cancellation before 12 PM local hotel time on the day before the reservation's confirmed date of arrival in order to avoid a non-refundable fee equal to one night's room rate plus tax.  On-site covered parking $27 per day. Stadium East parking available for $23 per day.

Transportation to 103 Drury Plaza Hotel St Louis at the Arch:

St Louis Airport 

Taxi stands are located at most downtown hotels. The fare from the airport to downtown St. Louis is around $45, with airport shuttles charging $15 one way, $25 for round trip. Various limousine and car services are available as well, including Uber and Lyft.

Light Rail (MetroLink) - 35 minute ride one-way (15 stops)

MetroLink is the St. Louis metropolitan region's light rail system and is operated by Metro Transit as part of a fully integrated regional transportation system. Advance fare is required. Purchase a ticket at the Ticket Vending Machines located at both stations or through the Transit app.

Metrolink Station Terminal 1 is at Exit Door 1, Ticketing Level, east of all ticket counters.

About the Workshop

Objective: Provide an overview of the Exceptional Events Rule and its application among state, Tribal and local air agencies. Review tools and examples of concurred demonstrations. Foster a collegial environment for shared goals and objectives, ensuring efficient and effective Exceptional Events Rule communication, collaboration and demonstrations.  

Audience: Federal, state, local and Tribal air and land management agency staff.
